A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR TRANSPORT MANAGER, LEE UPTON

Our amazing Transport Manager, Lee, has only been with Simply since August but he has already made such a great impression on the team. He has truly put his stamp down. He’s ambitious, committed, and adaptable and that can be seen in the support he gave us in renewing our FORS Bronze Accreditation recently. This means that Simply is recognised for carrying out best practice when it comes to safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.  

Day to day you’ll find Lee managing the transport fleet and Drivers, ensuring that everything is running smoothly. For myself and Paul it is super important that we can trust our Transport Manager to take care of the team and always be there to support them. In the role of Transport Manager, communication is key and Lee is always incredibly articulate and great at keeping everyone in the loop. We feel really lucky to have found him!

Our people are our number one priority and we have tried to build a team that can count on one another and enjoy working together. When asked why he loved working at Simply, Lee said:

“One of the reasons I love working at Simply is the people. I always come into work looking forward to spending the day with my colleagues and that’s something I really value.”

You may know that over the past year we have invested in training for our team to help them to not only grow professionally but also personally. Lee told us that he is most looking forward to making the most of these training opportunities and continuing to see himself grow throughout his career with us. We are already so proud of you Lee and we cannot wait to watch you grow as well as see how you build our team of Drivers.

When Lee isn’t busy managing the transport fleet you will find him at his local football club, where he is the Secretary, or spending quality time with his family.
