A SPOTLIGHT ON ONE OF OUR KEY WORKERS, LEE DAVES

With construction works continuing, retail stores reopening and pubs and restaurants gearing up to re-open their doors, Simply’s team of key workers are continuing to deliver essential works across London, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Many people may have been unaware that during the lockdown period, numerous essential construction sites have remained open under Government guidelines. During this time, I could not have been prouder of Simply and the way the team has continued to deliver our reliable services and essential environmental solutions to sites, and residential buildings, across the regions we work in.

At Simply, we pride ourselves on always going above and beyond to exceed expectations and this is something that is echoed by our Training and Quality Manager, Lee Daves.

As a longstanding team member at Simply, Lee is an integral part of the business and has played a vital role in supporting both our team, and our clients, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lee’s main role is to oversee the tanker department and ensure that the quality and training within the business always remains high. Throughout the pandemic, he has been fulfilling his everyday role which includes emptying waste fuel interceptors, water deliveries and gully sucking. All of these duties have prevented unhygienic welfare conditions and provided a safe working environment on a number of construction sites across the region, minimising the risk to workers.

Lee also delivers our top of the line welfare cabins and portable toilets, whether they are needed for ongoing or emergency projects. This has ensured that many key workers, including hospital staff and construction operatives, have access to facilities that meet health and safety regulations whilst maintaining social distancing rules.

Lee has been vital in keeping the construction world spinning during these unprecedented times. Our whole team has had to learn to adapt to each of the revised lockdown rules in place and be on hand for clients to ensure that they have the services they need to continue working in a safe and hygienic environment.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality environmental solutions to those in need and without team players like Lee, we would not have, or be able to maintain, our outstanding reputation of being an approachable company committed to upholding a gold standard of service.
